finalist for the 2013 Innovation Awards bestowed by Informatica
Corporation. Informatica is the number one independent provider of data
integration software in the world, and conducts an annual competition to
recognize organizations that have demonstrated leadership in the use of

The competition includes 11 categories, and EVERTEC was nominated for
the Test Data Management / Data Masking award for its masking of
sensitive data in test environments project.

The masking process is accomplished via 300 files in 15 applications
(equivalent to a terabyte of data) and prevents the unintentional
exposure of confidential credit card information. This strategy reduces
the risk of data leakage and ensures compliance with PCI DSS standards
and data privacy rules as well as other regulations.
